Shapier editorial team

All Body Lab content is signed collectively by the Shapier editorial team. This page describes its role, its area of competence, its verification method and its declarations of interest.

Identity

The Shapier editorial team is the collective author of all the content published on Body Lab.
This signature is deliberately collective. No content is attributed to a named person, because no page is the product of one person alone: writing, source checking, production of the diagrams and 3D models, and review are shared out. Signing with an individual name would give an impression of personal authority that would not match how these pages are actually made.

Role

The editorial team is responsible for everything published on Body Lab.
  • Defining the corpus plan and the topics covered.
  • Literature research and source selection.
  • Writing in French, the reference production language.
  • Assigning the levels of certainty and writing the limits of each page.
  • Producing and validating the 3D scenes, the animations and the videos.
  • Overseeing the English translation and the terminological consistency checks.
  • Tracking review deadlines and handling reported corrections.

Area of competence

The team works within a defined perimeter: functional anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, biomechanics of resistance movements, physiology of adaptation to training, muscle energy metabolism and recovery.
That perimeter explicitly excludes clinical medicine, rehabilitation, pathology, pharmacology, dietetics applied to an individual and any form of individual coaching. Topics outside that area are not covered, rather than being covered approximately.

Verification method

Every claim published is tied to a source declared on the page, checked at the original and not cited from memory. Review articles, meta-analyses and position statements from scientific organisations are preferred over isolated studies. Figures are only published together with their context, and digital publication identifiers are not displayed until they have been checked one by one.
The automated checks run at compile time refuse to publish a document missing an author, a date, a source cited but not declared, a limit on health content or a complete translation.

Limit
External scientific review: pending
The editorial team claims no verified individual qualification, and no professional title is displayed on this site until it has been checked.
To date, no outside scientific reviewer has signed off on the corpus: the review status shown on every page is "pending". When an external review takes place, the identity of the reviewer, their qualification and the pages concerned will be published here and on the pages reviewed.

Declaration of conflicts of interest

The editorial team is part of Shapier, publisher of Body Lab and of the Shapier and Dash products. That connection is the main interest to declare, and it is structural.
Three rules limit its effect on the content.
  • No content is written to justify a feature of a Shapier product. Topics are chosen from the questions the body raises, not from the catalogue.
  • Links to Shapier are contextual, describe the action they trigger and stay optional. A page remains complete without following them.
  • No content is sponsored, funded or influenced by a third party. Body Lab carries no advertising and practises no product placement.
No member of the team declares any interest connecting them to a supplement manufacturer, a laboratory, an equipment maker or an organisation whose products are mentioned in the corpus.

Profile verification date

This profile was verified on 2 August 2026. It will be reviewed by 2 August 2027 at the latest, or sooner if the composition of the team, its area of competence or its declarations of interest change.

Content produced
